Overview
Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu trek is moderate rated trek to have in Nepal and is easily accessible from Kathmandu. This trek offers many splendid Buddhist monastery visit, Rhododendron forest (March/April), superb mountain views, picturesque Sherpa settlements and villages, friendly people. People in these are call themselves Sherpa’s but their relationship with the Sherpa of Solu Khumbu is distant as dialects spoken & culture followed of here are different from other region.
We drive to Syabrubesi and start walking as trail passes through less visited ethnic group settlement, lush forest and historic Buddhist settlement of Kyanjin Gompa. There is hike from Kyanjin Gompa to Tserko ri at 5000m, which is highest point of the trek. Another prominent place we visit is Gosainkunda lake, watching the sun rising over multitude of glistening lakes of sacred hindu pilgrimage site. It is believed that this lake was created by Lord shiva. We cross Laurebina la pass of 4609m and trek down to beautiful village of Tarkegyang and Sermanthang before heading back to Kathmandu.

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.
