Overview

Everest Base Camp Trekking is one of most followed route by the trekkers in Nepal and whole world. Beneath the southern slopes of Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest 8848m- world highest mountain) lies the rugged and remote land of the Sherpas. Incredibly shaped mountains, whose ice-capped summits rise sharply above steep rock walls, tower above stone their close association with mountaineering history and exploration.

We start our trek after 30-40 minutes flight to Lukla. Our overnight plan at Gorkashep provides opportunity to ascend kalapatter 5,545m for more spectacular views of the surrounding mountains (Cho-Oyo 8153m, Makalu 8475m, Lhotse 8511m), including the black rocky ramparts of Mt. Everest’s (8,848m) in southwest face. We also have a day to visit Everest base camp at the foot of the immensely impressive Khumbu icefall. Mountain such as Ama Dablam 6812m, Kangtega 6779m, Nuptse 7855m, Thamserku 6608m etc are seen frequently while we trek. Likewise, our return journey takes us to Tengboche monastery, the most important center of Buddhism in the area, before descending to Lukla and fly back to Katmandu the next day.
