Everest View Trek is a special trek designed for those who love to observe the beauty of the world’s highest peak, Everest (8848m), from not too far and not that close. It is one of the enchanting treks in Nepal that take the travelers to the various Sherpa villages nestled beautifully in the lap of the Himalayas. Everest View Trek is ideal for those who want to soak in the beauty of the Himalayas without having to walk for days on end.
Everest View Trek starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Lukla hosts the most dangerous airport in the world, Tenzing Hilary Airport, which is the entryway for trekking in the Khumbu region. After landing in Lukla, the trek starts immediately as you move towards Phakding through the rhododendron forest. Following the trails of Dudh Koshi River, the trek takes you to the picturesque Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar, which is also the commercial hub of Khumbu region. The trek features a breath-taking panorama of Everest (8848m) and the accompanying peaks from the highest operating hotel in the world, Hotel Everest View (3962m). The trek also features a brief visit to the beautiful Sherpa village of Khumjung whose monastery displays a skull of the Yeti. Later, the trails take you to the ancient Tengboche Monastery, which hosts a stunning vista of the Himalayas. One of the major highlights of the trek is the hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4600m) via Pangboche. The panorama of Ama Dablam (6856m), Everest (8848m), and other snowy peaks from the base camp is a real treat for the eyes. Day 1 :

Day 01- Arrival In Kathmandu.

Welcome to Nepal! Ramdung Expedition representative will meet you at the airport and bring you to your hotel in Kathmandu. You can take a rest or if you are arriving earlier, can visit around the city.
In the evening we will hold a briefing session regarding your trip and get to know your Nepali trekking companion. We’ll be happy to answer any question you may have. O/N Hotel.

Day 2 :

Day 02- Fly To Lukla (28040) And Trek To Phakding (2610m). 3 hrs

An early morning start takes us to the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu for the 35-minute scenic flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport at Lukla (2,804m). On arrival at the airport guide will brief you and introduce our porters before we begin our trek towards Phakding (2,610m).
After landing we have time to explore the village while our Sherpa crew sort and load our trekking equipment. Then we begin our trek by descending towards the Dudh Kosi River where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2,713m). The walking is easy and after passing through the small village of Ghat (2,550m) it is a short walk to Phakding. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 3 :

Day 03- Phakding To Namche Bazaar (3441m). 5-6 hrs

We continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing the majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering the Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar (considered the Gateway to Everest) is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange services, internet cafes and bakeries. Namche is the biggest town along the Everest trail. Overnight at a guesthouse. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 4 :

Day 04 – Acclimatization Day.

We spend a day in Namche Bazaar in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning air. We will trek a short distance to a museum that is celebrated for its exhibits of the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. We also hike up the Syangboche Airport near the Everest View Hotel. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 5 :

Day 05- Namche Bazaar To Dole (4110m). 6 hrs

We climb and take one final look of Namche before following nice and easy trail. We’ll ascend to Mohang hill, the birth place of reincarnated lama of Rongbuk Monastery of Tibet believed to flourish Buddhism in Khumbu region. We will head down to Phortse Thanga take a lunch and walk gentle trail to Dole. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 6 :

Day 06 – Dole To Machhermo (4465m). 4-5 hrs

We start climbing over Dole via scenic ridge. We then follow trail along a valley over the river, crossing sandy spurs aiming to reach Machhermo by midday so that to visit Himalayan Rescue Association and rest our body. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 7 :

Day 07 – Machhermo To Gokyo (4720m). 5-6 hrs

After morning breakfast fuels us up, we begin climbing to a ridge for excellent view of down valley and Kangtenga and Cho-oyu mountain on above. The valley widens as we walk further to Phangkha then descending to river. Again climb onto moraine of Ngazumpa Glacier and walking for sometime brings us to first lake, Longpongo, second lake Taboche Tsho. We make photos of turquoise blue sheet of water sparkling in sun. Gokyo village stands near to the edge of third lake. O/N Teahouse (BLD)

Day 8 :

Day 08 – Rest Day, Option To Hike.

Today we rest and have chance to further acclimatize. If weather is good, we have opportunity to climb Gokyo Ri from where we see panoramic view of mountains like Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, K 43, Kangtega, Taboche, Cholatse, Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest, Changtse, and Pumori. Gokyo village is famous for six lakes in it surrounding. We also visit these. O/N lodge (BLD)

Day 9 :

Day 09 - Gokyo To Thaknak (4750m). 5 - 6 hrs

Today, we are on the trail to Thaknak. Thaknak is also sometimes pronounced as Dragnag. We climb out of the Gokyo village to a ridge. Then, we take the route through the Ngozumpa Glacier to the mountain on the other side. Continuing further and traversing along the edge of that mountain, we descend down to Thaknak. On the trek, we enjoy the magnifiscent views of Cho Oyu, Gokyo Ri, and other high Himalayas. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 10 :

Day 10 - Thaknak To Cho La (5420m) to Dzongla (4830m). 7 - 8 hrs

Today, we trek to the Cho La Pass. ChoLa pass is also another show up of this trip. Today is going to be one of the toughest days. The pass is not itself difficult but it is steep and involves a glacier traverse on the eastern side. We need to be careful because trail is vertical and the rocks glazed by ice add trouble to the trekkers making the trail slippery. Our trail climbs through a narrow gorge and a rocky trail. So, we climb up continuously up from Phedi. We trek through the side of a frozen lake while we come to the top of the pass which is decorated by prayer flags. We need to pass through some crevasses before we reach Dzongla, another beautiful place with a complete view of Mt. Cholatse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Lobuche peak and the Pheriche village far below. Day 11 :

Day 11 - Dzongla To Lobuche (4940m). 4 - 5 hrs

Today, we head for our next destination Lobuche. We climb down from Dzongla and pon crossing a bridge, we transverse through grassy trail. Enjoying the view of Lobuche Peak we stretch up eventually through a ridge. The mountains of Ama Dablam, Kangtega, Thamserku Taboche are seen looming prominently. Curving round through the wide gravelly river bed, we reach Lobuche. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 12 :

Day 12 - Lobuche To Gorak Shep (5170m). Excursion To Everest Base Camp (5364m). 7hrs

The big day on our overall trek arrives today. We start with easy trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep. The succeeding trail to Everest base camp is harder and involves walking to rocky dunes, moraines and glacial debris. We will also approach famous khumbu Glacier and icefall. When reaching Everest base camp in spring, we see lots of tents of climbers attempting Mt. Everest to climb. We’ll spent some time there to see unbelievable views of mountains and take some pictures then head back to Gorekshep after the busy day. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 13 :

Day 13 - Morning Climb To Kalapathar (5545m) To Pheriche (4288m). 7-8 hrs

We wake up early in the morning and start to walk to Kalapattar meaning “black rock”. Kalapattar is epic climb, the point to view sensational Himalayan vistas of a life time. The climb is tough but a chance to cherish your dream of viewing highest mountain at one place. We then trek back to Pheriche village with easy walking. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 14 :

Day 14 – Pheriche To Namche Bazaar. 5-6 Hrs

We walk downhill most of the time but some hours require scaling a hill. We’ll pass through Tengboche monastery and reach Namche late in the afternoon. O/N lodge (BLD)

Day 15 :

Day 15 - Namche Bazzar To Phakding To Lukla. 6 - 7 hrs

We trace back the same route we started passing through Hillary suspension bridge and through the Sherpa villages. The last day of trek is traditionally completed by party with your trekking crew. All are in happy and celebration mood for accomplishing the great Everest base camp trek. This will also be last day of yours in the mountain. O/N Lodge (BLD)

Day 16 :

Day 16 - Fly Lukla To Kathmandu.

Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes. We will take an early morning flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be transferred to Hotel. You can rest and relax throughout the day in your hotel. O/N Hotel (B)

Day 17 :

Day 17 – Contingency And Rest Day Kathmandu.

You can spend time resting/buying souvenirs back to home. In the evening, we will host farewell dinner in traditional restaurant with cultural dance performances in celebration of your amazing trip. O/N Hotel (BD)

Day 18 :

Day 18 – Trip Ends, Farewell And Departure.

The journey in the mountains of Nepal comes to an end today ! At last approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight, a representative from Ramdung Expedition will drop you to the airport. (B)
